Abbie finds it hugely rewarding to connect candidates with exciting new job opportunities. She understands that changing jobs can be stressful and goes above and beyond to help her candidates make a smooth transition whilst also balancing the needs of her clients.
Abbie is a Senior Consultant, specialising in Communications and Marketing recruitment which allows her to lean in to her flair and passion for the specialisation. She spends her days helping communications and marketing professionals build a career they love, and supporting clients to secure high performing candidates for their digital, communications and marketing positions.
Originally from beautiful Shellharbour on the South Coast, Abbie moved to Canberra while working for a leading retailer and soon after decided to pivot her career to recruitment. She was attracted to HorizonOne’s ethics and consultative approach over the traditional “burn and churn” recruitment style, and joined our Policy, Program and Procurement team in 2022.
When she’s not working, Abbie considers herself a bit of a home body and can usually be found reading a book or watching a documentary on the history of anything – a far cry from her hours spent watching WWE wrestling many years ago. If you ever grab a coffee together, just don’t get Abbie started on conspiracy theories…she loves them all and has plenty to share!
