Administration & Payroll

How did you get here?

My administration career began in my home town of Scone in the Hunter Valley as a Sales and Debtors Clerk at Scone Abattoir. After two years in this role, I then moved into Payroll, processing weekly pays for 300+ employees.

Feeling the need to spread my wings, I left Scone and spent 6 months in Townsville on a working holiday where I worked on placing long term unemployed job seekers into Work for The Dole programs.

Upon returning home to Scone, I began working as a Payroll/Administration Assistant at Rose & Partners Chartered Accountants. I spent 5 years in this role, where I oversaw the daily running of the reception area, as well as completing weekly, fortnightly, quarterly and end of year payroll operations for our clients.

In May 2015, after establishing our own business in the building industry, my fiancé and I made the decision to relocate to Canberra in order to obtain work, and allow our business to grow. Once settled and wanting to expand my administration experience, I approached HorizonOne to help me find a suitable position however must have done something right as they offered me a role here internally as the Team Administrator.
