Web Content Designer
This federal government organisation manages a large whole-of-government website. This website is the single entry-point for the Australian business community to access information from all 3 levels of government. It’s user focussed and simplifies access to information, tools and advice across all levels of government as well as providing key information on all aspects of owning and operating a business.
The Opportunity
Work within a multi-disciplinary team of content designers and writers, business analysts, delivery managers and user experience (UX) designers, all focussed on delivering a product focussed on user needs. Enjoy a highly social, collaborative workspace that will see you interacting with multiple contributors to the website, from subject matter experts through to policy owners.
The Role
As the Web Content Designer, you will enhance the user experience by improving and delivering web content focussed on user needs. Work within a clear, thorough, and user-centred content strategy that has been developed to ensure consistency of content creation. You will primarily translate complex information, distil down the core meaning and transform it into plain English to enhance user experience. Your work will include utilising Google Analytics to influence search engine optimisation, using a CMS to populate content into the website and significant engagement with key stakeholders.
The Ideal Person
- You will thrive working in a highly collaborative workspace with high degrees of stakeholder engagement
- You will be skilled at translating technical concepts and information into user-friendly, non-technical language
- You will have a deep understanding of human-centered design
- You will find your previous experience in using a content management system (CMS) advantageous
- Your experience in a government environment, delivering policy through programs in an Agile environment will be helpful
Salary / Rate
- Hourly rate $80-$100/hr + Super
- 11 month contract with a 12 month extension
