The Opportunity

This is a critical role leading the health and human services sector of the organisation. It’s an opportunity to:

The Role

You will support the implementation of JAS-ANZ’s values, strategy and processes by ensuring knowledge within the health and human services sector is maintained and available for use in assessments.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with key clients in the health and human services sector (with a particular focus on the NDIS) to ensure common understanding of the meaning and benefits of accreditation
  • Ensure auditing bodies meet set requirements that are aligned to consumer needs to maximise accountability in the sector
  • Conduct assessments by actively listening to clients and identifying their areas of non-conformance
  • Manage knowledge transfer between key stakeholders (e.g. the NDIS Commission and other scheme owners in the sector) and JAS-ANZ staff and contractors
  • Build the reputation of JAS-ANZ by leading forums and technical discussions within the sector
  • Coach, mentor and provide guidance to assessors and technical experts
  • Identify talent within the sector who can be used in the wider assessment pool

Your Background and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

Sector Credibility

  • Relevant background in health, human services, clinical, community services or disability services
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of the health and human services sector in order to build respect and credibility with stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of the risks associated with providing services in the sector (with particular focus on disability services)

Stakeholder Engagement, Communication and Relationship Management Skills

  • Ability to develop long-term relationships with clients in the health and human services sector
  • Excellent listening and communication skills required to understand the needs of clients
  • Strong focus on facilitating cooperation and partnerships

Adaptability and Emotional Intelligence

  • High level of emotional intelligence and strong soft skills required to relate to clients
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy and sound judgement when adapting to new situations and stakeholders
  • Will apply self to understanding and growing deeper technical knowledge

Ability to Self-Manage

  • Ability to work highly effectively in an autonomous manner
  • Sound project management skills with experience delivering projects within tight deadlines
  • Ability to manage own priorities, meetings and administrative duties
  • Ability to recognise opportunities, harness information, show judgement, intelligence and common sense

Salary / Rate

  • $115K – $122K + 9.5% Super
  • Permanent ongoing position
