As a key member of the inaugural finance team, you’ll be solving interesting, complex financial problems and contributing to a big investment in Australia’s future.

The Opportunity

These roles are available as permanent s26 transfer opportunities (or non-ongoing salaried contracts with view to permanency) and are based in a centrally located Canberra office. The positions offer the chance to lead various sized teams while working closely with some of the most highly regarded finance professionals in the Commonwealth.

You’ll be working under SES officers with a strong track record of respecting and investing in the corporate function, as well as fostering top level talent toward exceptional careers. The opportunities will suit motivated, dynamic EL2 level professionals with strong leadership and problem solving capabilities keen for a future SES seat. Working amongst a team of high performers, you will help establish contemporary financial management practices for a sizeable $40billion budget.

The Role

Multiple roles at EL2 level available with a focus on External Budgets and Finance Business Partnering.

Your Background and Experience

You are a professionally qualified, experienced EL2 with a strong technical background who has progressed into management roles where you can demonstrate a strong track record of building quality financial management practices. You will have very strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, well-developed analytical skills and display drive to improve and deliver. You will thrive in a team that bands together, working concurrently to deliver a monumental shift in Australia’s policy agenda.

Salary / Rate

Senior EL2 level salary, IFA negotiable with experience.
