EL1 Workforce Planning Manager

Our client administers schemes legislated by the Australian Government for measuring, managing, reducing or offsetting Australia’s carbon emissions.

The Opportunity

Our client is looking to conduct workforce planning across each of its Branches and develop from this process an organisational workforce plan with the Executive of the agency.

You will be working closely with the General Manager of Human Resources to facilitate, conduct and analyse workforce data to be able to produce a practical implementation plan for workforce planning for the organisation.

The Role

Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Contribute to and lead projects and workshops relating to workforce planning and developing data driven insights
  • Perform in-depth analysis on future focus workforce data, both internally and across the APS and external industry environment to provide key pieces of information to form the basis of the workforce plan
  • Be able to deliver and facilitate workshops with different management groups to build the information for workforce planning
  • Design surveys for workforce capability information to assist with developing the workforce plan
  • Develop gap analysis of workforce capabilities and strategies or initiatives to meet workforce gaps
  • Actively build workforce planning capability for managers and HR during the process

Your Background and Experience

To be successful for this role you will have:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior leaders on workforce planning
  • Demonstrated experience in workforce strategy development and workforce planning experiences and frameworks
  • Ability to influence and lead managers as well as provide technical expertise on workforce planning matters
  • Knowledge and experience translating data insights into practical business solutions
  • Experience in using Human resources metrics for workforce planning purposes

Salary / Rate

  • $75 – $90/hour plus 10.5% Super
  • 12 Month opportunity with 12-month extension
