Our data analyst roles will see you leading the design, analysis and delivery of relevant, trusted and objective statistics, solutions and insights.
You will tell the story behind the data in an engaging and meaningful way to allow businesses to make informed and evidence-based decisions.
The datasets you will be working on will vary in complexity and structure and will cover a range of areas across, policy, program, research, business, reporting, financial, HR, performance reporting and geospatial.
Our data scientist roles will see you discovering, experimenting with and leading the use of new data sources, methods and products to meet the changing information needs of our clients.
Our clients are looking for data analysts with demonstrated experience in the workplace (not just a course on Udemy).
As a data analyst you will have a combination of the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (preferably R, Python, SAS, SQL, Excel, SPSS, STATA)
Demonstrated experience in working with big data sets from a range of structured and unstructured sources to draw insights and visualisations
Expertise in visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qlik, R Shiny, etc.)
Experience developing models using Simple Linear Regression, Stochastic Frontier Analysis, Data Envelopment Analysis etc.
Data Scientists will have a combination of the following:
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (preferably R, Python, SQL)
Experience developing Machine Learning models (Gradient Booster Models, Decision Trees, etc.)
Master or above level qualifications in data science, statistics, mathematics or similar discipline.

Australian citizenship and experience as a data analyst in an APS or ACT Government context is mandatory.
