Data Analyst (Data Governance)
This mid-sized Government agency’s operations cover a diverse and changing workforce, in a complex environment. Their focus is to support participation and productivity through creating supportive and safe workplaces
This is a unique opportunity to join a team that is about to create a data governance strategy from scratch. You will play a major part in influencing, shaping and writing the strategy and changing the culture around data within the Department.
The team is responsible for developing the Agency’s ability to acquire, use and share information. This is required in order to develop greater insights and guide shared priorities related to the management and design of one of the Department’s key strategic priorities.
The primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement a data governance framework and supporting policies and procedures. The team want someone who is able to build the capability and skillset of the area.
The role may also require the ability to design and manage specific data governance projects, including development of data asset register, consolidating and documenting metadata definitions as well as assessing and mitigating data sharing and data quality risks.
To be successful in this role you will be someone who has the ability to implement and execute, not simply discuss. You have the skills to influence stakeholders who are likely to be in the SES Group.
You have an in-depth understanding of data governance within the APS.
This role would suit high performing APS Employees from other Departments looking for a change or a chance to create something from scratch and make it their own. As well as Independent contractors or Management consultants looking for an opportunity to move client side and be part of creating and delivering a piece of work.
The role is being offered as 6 month initial non-ongoing contract with highly likely chance of extension(s). The area would also consider temporary transfers.
The salary would be $102,846- $122,545 + 15.4% Super
There is the possibility of an EL2 salary for high performing candidates based on skills and experience.
