The Role
In this contract role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive cyber security risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential threats to critical systems
- Develop and maintain detailed security documentation, proposing and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies
- Provide specialised cyber security architecture and risk advisory services to key ICT programs and projects, ensuring robust security postures
- Prepare and oversee security certification documentation for systems, including application interfaces, databases, and network infrastructures
- Collaborate closely with internal security teams to develop and refine standard operating procedures, security risk management plans, and conduct Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessments
- Lead security design reviews, ensuring all systems and processes comply with national security standards and best practices
The Ideal Person
You are a proactive cyber security expert with a robust background in technical security or Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC).
Your experience includes a focus on frameworks such as the Essential Eight and conducting IRAP assessments.
You excel in high-pressure environments, demonstrating strategic thinking and clear communication skills to articulate complex security concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Your collaborative nature and commitment to excellence drive you to stay ahead of emerging cyber threats.
Holding an NV1 or NV2 security clearance is advantageous, or you should be willing and eligible to obtain one promptly.
