The Opportunity

This is a newly created position due to a recent restructure within the operations team. It’s an opportunity to:

The Role

You will support the implementation of JAS-ANZ’s values, strategy and processes by ensuring business development opportunities are identified and presented to senior management. Your key focus will be to ensure JAS-ANZ are not missing out on growth and new business opportunities. Contract management and compliance are also a focus.

Your primary responsibilities:

  • Research and keep abreast of changes within the industry that will result in growth or new business opportunities for JAS-ANZ
  • Conduct opportunity analysis for new business to present to the senior management team
  • Develop proposals and ensure contract agreements are relevant and achievable
  • Identify talent within the sector who can be used in the wider assessment pool

Your Background and Experience

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

Research and Administration Skills

  • Relevant industry experience in conformity assessment, audit or compliance or otherwise, strong research and administration experience
  • Ability to work autonomously and identify potential growth opportunities that would result from industry reform
  • Conduct comprehensive research and complete opportunity analysis to present to senior management

Stakeholder Engagement and Critical Analysis

  • Ability to develop long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to keep abreast of workload to assist with resource planning
  • Ability to review and update contracts to ensure that service level agreements are met
  • Excellent listening and communication skills required to understand the needs of clients

Adaptability and Emotional Intelligence

  • High level of emotional intelligence and strong soft skills required to liaise with clients
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy and sound judgement when adapting to new situations and stakeholders
  • Will apply self to understanding and growing deeper technical knowledge of conformity assessment – commitment to self-development

Ability to Self-Manage

  • Ability to work highly effectively in an autonomous manner
  • Sound project management skills with experience delivering projects within tight deadlines
  • Capacity to keep motivated in what can be a ‘slow-win’ process
  • Ability to recognise opportunities, harness information, show judgement, intelligence and common sense

Salary / Rate

  • $85K – $95K + 9.5% Super
  • Permanent ongoing position
