This Federal Government agency produces high-quality reports and other information products, on key health and welfare issues in Australia. This work and research is used to develop and improve the delivery of health and welfare for people across the country.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain a 12 month contract at APS6 level, offering great security for the successful applicant. This is a unique role in the agency, as such would suit an experienced high performer used to autonomy. This will be a busy and diverse role that will include some interstate travel on occasions.
The role is essentially built for a Secretariat and Governance expert.
Some of the key tasks include;
- Provide efficient and effective secretariat services including meeting coordination, preparation of papers and provision of detailed and accurate minutes
- Manage the committees work program and update as required
- Manage related project ethics committee approvals and processes as required
- Attend committee meetings, record discussion and prepare accurate minutes
To be successfully in this role, you’ll have previous experience in a Secretariat and/or ethics committee role within the APS.
Naturally, you’ll have a high level of attention to details and the ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders. Your excellent interpersonal skills will allow you to work well with and get the best out of the wider team, but you’ll also be comfortable in setting your own tasks and working autonomously.

$60 – $65 p/h + Super
