APS5 Intelligence Officer
As a result of the roll-out of a topical and new way of delivering disability services, this Federal Government Department has established a Quality and Safeguards Commission. The Commission will be the dedicated regulator of a key care delivery service in Australia, and key functions of the Commission include registration and regulation of care providers, investigation and enforcement action; responding to complaints and reportable incidents including abuse and neglect of a person with disability; national policy setting for the screening of workers; national oversight and policy in relation to behaviour support and monitoring restrictive practices within the delivery of care.
This is your opportunity to hone your skills as an intelligence officer and be a part of building capability in your specialist space. This role has been created to impact and influence change, you won’t just be filing a seat.
As such an initial 12 month contract is being offered with a possible extension.
- Analyse, integrate and evaluate information to produce accurate and informative intelligence reports for treatment
- Undertake activities to identify trends and report on control weaknesses for referral to senior staff
- Update databases and to assist with developing a robust intelligence store
- Use a range of analytical tools to assist in producing tactical intelligence reports
To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience in a similar setting or similar role. Your ability to analyse multiple sources of information will allow you to identify risks quickly. You’ll have an expert eye for attention to detail and be a starter, knowing where and when to focus your attention and research capabilities.
$50-$55p/h + Super
