APS5 Communication Officer
Our client is an independent service established by Parliament. The provision of ethical and high quality advice is at the crux of their mission, with the aim of providing a fair and independent service.
This is an opportunity to grow and develop your generalist Communication Officer skills. Working as part of a small team of four, you’ll have to extend yourself and take on additional areas of responsibility as you grow into this role.
Working in modern offices on the edge of the city, you’ll have a wealth of cafes, restaurants and bars to choose from for lunch and after work social activities. You’ll also have nature on your doorstep if you prefer to stretch your legs over lunch time. A short walk from the light rail and bus, this 6-12 month contract offers career development, a great team and work life balance.
Working as part of a small yet high performing team, your main focuses will be:
- Providing media support when and where required
- Assisting with physical and digital communications material
- Social media support
- High level editing across factsheets and various reports
- Coordination of internal communications
You’ll be someone with strong written and verbal communications skills, and a flair for design. Your collaboration and liaison skills will be key to your success. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop and Indesign will also be an advantage. Your previous experience working in a similar Federal Government position will put you on the front foot to hit the ground running and add value from day one.
A range of $50 – $55 per hour + Super is on offer for this position
