The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced People team. These roles are suited to candidates who are looking for career development to progress in their HR career. You will work within the Corporate Management Group that enables the inclusive, sustainable, and high-performing workforce capability and culture of this department. You will assist in driving strategic talent management, learning and leadership programs and workforce planning. You will also provide people services and business partnering across the employee lifecycle, enabling recruitment, pay and conditions, performance and workforce analytics.

The Role

As an APS4 HR Officer, you will be required to:

  • Support stakeholders and provide advice on recruitment and onboarding matters
  • Act as the first point of contact for corporate enquires including collaborating with and escalating requests to other subject matter experts for resolution
  • Facilitate internal and external advertising, through eRecruit and other advertising platforms
  • Under guidance of a senior member of the team, review relevant people service procedures
  • Write and develop internal communication and marketing material for internal websites and communication activities
  • Actively follow corporate policies and practices whilst maintaining accuracy of information in all business systems and databases

Your Background and Experience

To be successful as a APS4 HR Officer, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders and within a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to self-manage workloads and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Experience with Acendre or Aurion is highly desirable
  • Basic understanding of the Public Service Act, APS Commissioner’s Directions, and other relevant restrictions and guidelines that relate to APS recruitment is desirable but not essential

You must be an Australian citizen. You must be willing to undergo a police check. You must have a Baseline security clearance to be successful for this role.

Salary / Rate

  • APS4: $71,669 – $ 78,768 + 15.4% Super
  • 6 – 12 month non ongoing with extension
