APS 5 Document Control Officer

The Organisation:

This Australian Government Department is responsible for national policies and programs that help Australians find and keep employment and work in safe, fair and productive workplaces.

The Opportunity:

An APS5 Document Control/ Document Accessibility Officer is required to join the Deeds Advice team, Providers and Purchasing Branch to assist in making a number of legal documents, specifically deeds and contracts, accessible.

The Role:

This is a contract role ASAP – 10 May 2019 with potential for extensions. In this role you will be part of the implementation of a pre-set stylesheet to existing deeds and contracts in consultation with the department’s Web Services team and other area.

The Person:

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Advanced Microsoft Words skills
  • Good time management skills in order to achieve the set project milestones while working independently.
  • The ability to work to tight timeframes and to quickly learn accessibility requirements.

It is highly desirable that you have prior experience or working knowledge in making documents accessible.

The Salary/Rate:

$45 – $50 per hour + Super
