HorizonOne Gives Back – St John Ambulance ACT
At HorizonOne, we genuinely care about the community we work and live in. We are proudly committed to supporting and making a difference in our community. One way we give back to our community is through financial contributions and offering our recruitment services pro bono to local not-for-profit charities.
We are thrilled to have recently worked with St John Ambulance ACT.
St John Ambulance is a not for profit self-funded community based organisation with a 91 year history in Canberra, that prides itself on delivering quality products and services to the ACT and surrounding region. St John Ambulance plays a vital support role in the territory emergency management plans, assisting the community when it counts most.
Their goal is to make first aid part of everybody’s life by providing first aid services, training and community education in the ACT. In addition to the many other projects St John Ambulance delivers, the organisation trains in excess of 12,000 school children each year in basic first aid. This is offered at no cost to either the child or the school. St John Ambulance also excels in event health and safety research, leading projects in predictions of workloads, injury surveillance and models of health care provision at public events.
HorizonOne was recently engaged by St John Ambulance ACT to help them secure a Corporate Services Manager to oversee a range of business functions to help the organisation continue to help support the Canberra community.
Following a successful recruitment campaign, the position was offered to and gladly accepted by Fiona Burgman, who started this week. Alan Larby, our Accounting & Finance Senior Recruitment Consultant, who worked the role, popped into the St John Ambulance office to meet with CEO Adrian Watts, and to check how Fiona is settling in.
St John Ambulance’s ability to do their great work relies heavily upon kind donations made by the general public, and so HorizonOne is proud to present a donation cheque in support of this fantastic organisation.
