The event is held annually and this year marked H1’s fifth year entering a team. Despite being a national event, each Memory Walk & Jog raises funds to help provide services in its local area. All money raised helps Dementia Australia provide vital support services. This includes counselling, support groups, education to help family carers and professional training.

We extended an invite to all H1 team members and our contractors and scribes as well as family, friends and four-legged friends! With a choice of taking part in the 2km or 5km walk or the 10km jog, it was a really great opportunity to be active and help beat dementia!

With everyone’s help, we also met our fundraising goal, raising a total of $502 for the cause.

For more information about Dementia Australia and the fantastic work they do, please check out their website. The Canberra Memory Walk & Jog event raised over $70,000 and had 813 people take part.
