Senior EL1 (Equiv) Policy Manager - Defence
Our client is a nationally recognised defence contractor with offices around the country. Servicing large sections of the Department of Defence our client has developed a leadership and quality reputation in the market that can be career developing for aspiring managers.
Due to rapid growth on this large scale national project our client is seeking to engage with EL1 - EL2 level Policy managers on a broad range of activities and tasks. These positions are available for up to 18 months and we understand that the opportunity may extend as the project moves into future phases.
Working to a broad range of stakeholders this role is not a typical policy position. Supporting with project reporting, milestone reporting, ministerial briefing and synthesising highly complex scientific reports. This role will have it all and at times the pace will be fast.
Reporting to a project director you will be expected to display highly effective written communication skills as well as briefing and correspondence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting policy related research
- Plan, conduct and review qualitative and quantitative research
- Producing written advice that is of a high quality, accurate and timely
- Analysis of past and current regulatory issues
- Interpreting and applying current legislation and guides
Your previous roles have seen your writing skills developed to a high standard and you enjoy liaising across all levels from Ministers to junior staff.
You will be someone that is comfortable in contract roles where you need to bring yourself up to speed as quickly as possible. You will have the support of a team however they will be counting on you to bring your knowledge to the role.
To be considered for this position you must be an Australian Citizen, hold a current Baseline Security Clearance and have recent experience in a Policy role within the Commonwealth Government
$75 - $85/hr + Super
