EL2 Project Manager - National program implementation
Our client is a central Government agency, at the forefront of national public policy and administration. This high profile department is taking a lead role in a wide range of Government reforms making it an exciting and interesting place to be over coming years.
Our client is seeking the services of a senior EL2 contract manager to support the project scoping and planning for this new ICT project. Working program side on this project there will be a finite resource allocated to support the existing teams and this is currently funded for 12 months, up to the end next financial year.
Working alongside a peer manager and reporting to the branch manager this role will be responsible for directing and leading this new program implementation. You will have a small team of directs that will all work closely with the IT project team key responsibilities will include;
- Procuring and engaging with industry and technology experts
- Liaising within the department, the broader Commonwealth and industry stakeholders
- Managing project schedules, milestones and project reporting
- Designing and writing briefing for senior managers and executives
The ideal candidate will have successfully designed and implemented a major national program with an underpinning use of a complex ICT solution. Experience leading an ICT project manager and technical stakeholders will also be necessary to be considered for this role. Ideally you will have five years of Federal Government experience at the Director level leading teams.
